Montara Mail

AI features

Sorting, summaries, reply suggestions, Write with AI and skills.

Every AI feature calls the model your organization configured under Control Center › AI Providers. Email content is treated as untrusted data in every prompt: instructions written inside a mail are never followed.

Sorting

New inbox mail gets one of three labels:

LabelMeans
ImportantA real person or business needs you: a question, a request, a deadline, a decision, money, security or a personal message.
BroadcastOne message sent to many people: newsletters, announcements, digests and marketing.
Low priorityEverything else: social notifications, receipts and automated updates.

Agree with a label (thumbs up) to keep it as yours, or disagree to pick another. A label you chose is never changed by the AI.

AI Email Summary

A short summary of one mail, with the key names, dates, amounts and deadlines in bold. It is kept after the first time, so opening the mail again costs nothing.

Write with AI

Under a reply, Use AI opens the writing panel:

  • Quick replies: up to three short replies suggested for the mail. Pick one to start from it.
  • Describe the reply you want and Write drafts the whole reply. Type / for skill prompts.
  • Polish (write a draft first): Humanize, Copy edit, and Translate reply into the mail's language in a tone you pick.

Your reply only changes when you choose Use.

Skills

Skills are named instructions run on one email from the reader's Skills menu, or with a /command in the assistant. Every organization has these built in:

  • Summarize email, Organize, Draft / reply email
  • Humanize, Copy edit
  • Reply to a prospect, Handle an objection, Reply to press
  • Translate email, Translate reply

Translation reads the mail faithfully into your browser's language; tone only applies to a translated reply. Owners can turn built-in skills off and add their own: see Bots and skills.
